For us it happens almost daily from 6pm: Ozapft is! We proudly tap our Helles from the 30-litre oak barrel right in front of our guests – a highlight not to be missed. Tapped with powerful blows and poured fresh, this is a genuine experience for every beer drinker. Our Helles flows slowly from the barrel, fresh and cool, and solely through the pressure of its own weight. This results in lower carbon dioxide content and makes it more drinkable, more digestible and particularly smooth, just the way beer connoisseurs appreciate their wooden barrel beer.
The wooden barrels are visible to all guests, are tapped on the so-called Gantern and each new barrel is celebrated with the old ritual of ringing the bell. The tapping and serving of wooden barrels contributes a lot to the traditional atmosphere at Augustiner an der Frauenkirche. A clear recommendation from the house!
